The Executive Experience


THE EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE is a five-day development program where participants, working in groups, assume senior management roles for a company. They analyze, make decisions, plan, and experience the consequences of their decisions. In this program participants do general management work and are given considerable resources from which to reflect and learn from their experience.

Length:  5 days

Session highlights:

Assessment of participant provided to participant and manager.

Project assigned by manager and implemented by participant upon return to work.

Session provides comprehensive work on planning, leadership, management from both a business and corporate perspective.

Outcomes:

Build cooperation among people.
Diagnose and correct dysfunctional group dynamics.
Bring people together to seize opportunity.
Integrate opportunity into corporate strengths.
Conduct business activities consistent with corporate strategy.
Contribute to the formulation and implementation of corporate strategy.
Formulate policies which allow others to take major responsibility.
Articulate opportunity.
Prepare a strategic plan.
Formulate tactics.
Operationalize plans.
Focus personal development in specific areas.

Candidates:   Those who have been identified as having high potential for general and senior management positions.

The Leadership Experience


THE LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE is a 3 1/2 day session currently offered on a private basis only for associations and their members or as an internal company program.  Please see the session schedule for more information.

Length:  3 ½ days

Session highlights:

Provides a comprehensive and systematic leadership model for intervening when required performance is not achieved.

Changes pattern of how to manage and lead without taking the work away.

Improves cross-functional performance and results.

 Outcomes:

Build cooperation among people.
Diagnose and correct dysfunctional group dynamics.
Bring people together to seize opportunity.
Formulate policies which allow others to take major responsibility.
Formulate tactics.
Intervene when required performance is not achieved.
Focus personal development in specific areas.

Recommended format:      Open enrollment and in-house sessions.  Min/Max enrollment: 10/24 

Candidates:   Those who have leadership/management responsibilities for implementing plans (not doing the strategic planning work).  Recommended for cross-functional team managers and those who must implement through others that do not report to them.

The Cooperative Experience


THE COOPERATIVE EXPERIENCE is currently offered on an internal basis only.  Please contact us for further information.

Length:  1 1/2 days

Session highlights:

Increases the ability of groups to work together.
Provides results driven methodology of how to focus groups on what must be accomplished.
Allows participants to diagnose and correct dysfunctional group dynamics. 

Outcomes:

Build cooperation among people.
Understand cooperation as a process.

Understand how cooperation is created and maintained.
Be able to diagnose barriers to cooperation.
Be able to take the initiative in group activities to improve cooperation.
Understand the fundamentals of effective communication.
Identify critical factors that inhibit performance.
Create and use a common end.

Recommended format:      In-house sessions.  Min/Max enrollment: 10/30 

Candidates:   New managers or those who spend time leading teams on short projects or task forces.  It helps participants learn the higher level skills of creating and maintaining cooperation within work groups, project teams and business units.
